"I believe every child deserves a future and the chance I was once given."

Samuel Katungye - President & Founder

“From humble beginnings to a vision of hope.”

Samuel Katungye, the founder of Glory Africa Foundation, was born into a pastoralist family in rural Uganda; a family that depended on cattle for their livelihood. Growing up, life was a delicate balance between helping his family and pursuing education. Some days he attended school and studied, while other days he had to gather and graze the family's cattle. On school days, Samuel often walked long distances through swamps and forests, demonstrating early on his determination, resilience, and commitment to learning. His life took a remarkable turn when he was sponsored to attend school; an act of compassion that opened doors he once thought were beyond reach and revealed the power of opportunity and grace.

Determined to make the most of that opportunity, Samuel earned a Bachelor's Degree in Arts with Education and dedicated his career to teaching in both public and private schools as well as community development with local and international nonprofit organizations in Uganda and Rwanda. During this time, he witnessed the struggles of countless children and families who, like him, only needed a helping hand to start their journey toward a better future.

Currently, Samuel works as a Rehabilitation Specialist in the United States, helping individuals rebuild their lives and regain hope. At the same time, he continues to carry his passion for Africa through Glory Africa Foundation, a faith-driven mission that empowers children, strengthens families, and glorifies God through education, healthcare, empowerment, and spiritual growth.

His story is a living testimony that when God lifts one life, it can become a light for many others.
